In February of 2023, the Stratton Community Foundation received a Stewart’s Holiday Match Grant in the amount of $1,000. Stewart’s has collected and matched donations in their shops from Thanksgiving until Christmas since 1986. Half of the grant funds come directly from Stewart’s customers, all doubled by Stewart’s Shops. The grant award will be used toward our general Mission funds: to address the challenges that stand between a child in need and the opportunity to be healthy, safe, and educated. Promoting positive Mental Health messages in schools with Alexina Federhen, Miss Vermont 2022, providing books for children to build a home library, and supporting the BBA Student Success Program Mentorships are just a few examples of how this grant will help to make an impact on what we do for children and families in southern Vermont.
