#Shred4Nate

It all started when the ‘FRIENDS OF NATHAN’ wanted to bring awareness to teen mental health and create a legacy for Nathan Carreira. Nathan had a great love for skiing, spending every weekend with his family at Stratton. The compassion for Nathan after his passing at the young age of 15 years old, generated an outpouring of donations, establishing the Nathan M. Carreira Endowment Fund of the Stratton Community Foundation. Today, the endowment supports critical programs, services, education and leadership training among teens, parents, and schools across southern Vermont. [Nathan, March 12, 2003-March 26, 2018]

Golf Outing

We endeavor to provide basic human necessities to children who are less fortunate. Through the Stratton Community Foundation’s Moving Mountains initiative, children in need receive assistance of food, safety, clothing, health, hygiene, and more, so that when they arrive at school, they are cared for and ready to learn for the opportunity to succeed!

Snowlight in Vermont

“Snowlight in Vermont” is dedicated to shine a light on EDUCATION, supporting local Vermont children through early literacy programs, experiential learning opportunities, college/trade scholarships, and more. Thank you to all of our loyal and new donor families who have sponsored a tree, sharing special memories, loved ones, and sentiments of the season.
This winter, 120 trees line the Stratton Mountain Village and town of Manchester.
