OUR MISSION
The Stratton Foundation is a community based non-profit organization that cares about the health and welfare of children and their families in southern Vermont. The mission of the Stratton Foundation is to address the challenges of poverty that stand between a child in-need and the opportunity to be healthy, safe, and educated. The goal of the Stratton Foundation is to end the cycle of generational poverty by helping at-risk children become successful adults.
OUR FOOTPRINT
The Stratton Foundation creates and supports programs and families within the following footprint of: Arlington, Danby, Dorset, Jamaica, Landgrove, Londonderry, Manchester, Newfane-Newbrook, Peru, South Londonderry, Stratton, Sunderland, Townshend, Wardsboro, Weston, Windham, and Winhall.
HISTORY
Founded in 1996, a small group of community-minded individuals shared a common love for the Stratton Mountain community and joined together with a goal to enhance the quality of life of their friends, neighbors, and visitors.
The Stratton Foundation was formed to support local non-profit organizations that enhance opportunities for all working and living in the mountain communities. Over time, the Foundation realized a more focused mission to care for those most vulnerable, contributing $1,872,000 to support programs and organizations that execute critical services. The Foundation also launched the Hurricane Irene Relief Fund, providing $430,000 to help families and businesses devastated by the storm in August, 2011.
The Foundation’s success depends on the generosity of its members, both individual and corporate, area businesses and service organizations, sponsors, and the Stratton Mountain Resort.

Jr. Ambassador Board Members
Together we share in the mission to care for the health and well-being of children and families in our communities across southern Vermont.
The Junior Ambassador program has great purpose and plays a critical role in the success and impact of the Foundation, supporting events and initiatives, fundraising and volunteerism, as well as creating programs individually and as a group!
This is their chance to be heard and to do good while standing on the shoulders of the Stratton Foundation.
Angel Outreach
Our local children and families in-need, need your help.
The Stratton Foundation frequently receives requests for ‘things’ such as supplies for home emergency repair, appliances or household items, personal necessities, books and school supplies, services, and more!
The Angel Outreach Network is a proud partnership of community businesses and individuals willing to donate or offer a discount in times of need.
